This 30,000 sq.ft. office was acquired in 2013 by a joint venture between Deanway and Muir Construction.
Planning permission was secured to convert the vacant building into an 83 bed hotel scheme plus a separate class 3 unit.
A pre-let of the hotel was agreed with Premier Inn and the building was stripped back to shell condition and comprehensively redeveloped.
The turnkey hotel was handed over to the operator in August 2014 just in time for Ryder Cup! The development acted as catalyst for further regeneration of the wider Mill Street area and created 35 new jobs.
The completed hotel development was sold to British Steel Pension Fund and the restaurant unit was sold to Kisa Ltd.
